“July 19″(for lack of a better title)

Join us on Wednesday July 19th from 7pm-9pm as we welcome home our high school mission team and get ready for middle school city camp.

Last week we had a lot of fun creating awesome tie dye shirts for city camp (and beyond). For those who missed it, we will be tie dying again this week, so bring a white something.

Here are some more exciting things going on this week that I’m copying from the Eblast (Sign up for the Valley EBlast at www.valleycommunity.org)

A huuuuge welcome to our new pastor Rev. Jeff Binder! If your kicking around the church this week you just might see a new face. Join us Sunday July 23rd for his first Sunday in the pulpit.

HILLSBORO HOPS: Join us for Valley’s annual outing to a Hillsboro Hops baseball game ‪on July 22 at 5:00 p.m.‬ Afterwards, a strawberry shortcake party hosted by Valley Youth will occur in the parking lot. Contact Roger Rees, ‪rcubedor1@outlook.com‬or ‪503.332.6236‬, for more info.

ALL CHURCH PICNIC is ‪Sunday, July 23‬ after worship! This year the theme is Galactic Starveyors, following the adventures that were enjoyed by all during VBS the week before. Get ready for good food and refreshing beverages, great fellowship and games for everyone to enjoy! To carry the theme of picnic just a little further, please dust off your favorite picnic basket and decorate it with Galactic decorations. Everyone will get to vote on their favorite space age themed decor and there will be a prize for the one that gets the most votes! Don’t forget to load up your picnic baskets with your own plates, cutlery, napkins and drink containers so that we can keep our planet a green a little longer. (Don’t worry, disposables will be available if you forget!) Chicken will be provided for everyone, both fried and roasted, as well as lemonade and cold water. Congregants are being asked to contribute the rest: A through H are asked to bring desserts, I through Z are asked to bring a salad or side dish.
