This week is mission Wednesday (9/27) and we will be serving at the Oregon Food Bank. 1870 NW 173rd Ave, Beaverton, OR 97006. If you are signed up, meet at the youth house at 5:30 or join us at the food bank at 6:00. (Pick up your kiddos at 8:45). Note: we will not be sharing dinner so eat ahead of time!
Last week we had a great discussion of the story from Exodus about those grumbling and complaining Israelites and the “what is it?” (Mana) falling from the sky. It was a great reminder that sometimes it’s easy to forget about all the blessings in our lives and when we feel grumpy, irritated and ungrateful to take a deep breath and remember how God provides through his grace and mercy and is with us always.
High School had a productive mission planning session and we all enjoyed a delicious sausagey loaf thingy, some veggies and otter pops. (There also may or may not have been a pillow fight when Dude was left alone with the kids for awhile).
