I hope you all had a wonderful week. The sun has been out, and the pollen has been destroying my sinuses. All-in-all, I can’t complain.
I thought it would be good to start this brief blog entry off with some good news, so I’ll post a link to an uplifting article I read below:
99-Year-Old British WWII Vet Raises $22 Million for Healthcare Workers:
Today’s Earth Day, and i think we can all sit back and appreciate one of the silver-linings in all of this: we are polluting the air so much less by staying home!
So there are certainly a couple things that we can be grateful for.
While we give thanks to God for all of the good that’s come from this, we cannot forget to pray for the people who are directly affected by the pandemic. Pray for New York. Pray for Italy. Pray for all of the healthcare workers working tirelessly to save lives. We can also contribute directly to healthcare workers by donating equipment, food, or money to various organizations. Here’s a link:
With all that said, I wanted to encourage all of you to stay busy. Something Hayley and I like to do is write. We mostly write poetry, but sometimes we write short stories as well. For anyone who might be interested in writing a story to keep busy, I’m going to attach an outline to this blog post to help you do that. To make things even more interesting, anyone who submits a short story while we’re on lockdown will get a prize! Any student that submits a story with their outline will get an e-gift card of their choice!
Submit completed outlines and stories to my email firstname.lastname@example.org.
I look forward to reading your stories!
Until next time,
